Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino like Starbucks but easier on the pocket!
My son’s favourite Starbucks treat!
This homemade version tastes exactly like the real thing, is easy on the pocket, made in minutes and is the perfect treat when the boys hang out at ours.
It only takes a couple of ingredients and a blender to create this beauty in minutes.
Recipe is below.
If you want a less calorific version use skimmed milk,sugar free chocolate syrup and low fat cream (believe me, it still tastes great!)
Remember though, it is a treat, so don’t go too overboard worrying about the calorie content.
My boys work this off on the football pitch!
Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino like Starbucks but cheaper!
1 cup of low fat milk (almond milk, soy, lactose free or skimmed can also be used. Use whatever milk you prefer)
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar (icing sugar)
1/3 cup of chocolate chips
3 tablespoons chocolate syrup ( I use Hersey's sugar free chocolate syrup)
8 to 10 Ice Cubes
Squirty Cream (use low fat if you prefer)
Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
Pour some chocolate syrup down the sides of your chosen glass
Pour in your Frappuccino mix
Top with whipped cream and drizzle over chocolate syrup (optional)
Pop in a pretty straw and enjoy!
